Foundations of Financial Engineering Certificate (FFE Certificate)

Starting with the October 2024 cohort, students have the unique opportunity to earn the embedded Foundations of Financial Engineering Certificate WHILE working towards their comprehensive MSc in Financial Engineering degree.

Eligibility Requirements*:

To earn the Foundations of Financial Engineering Certificate, students must:

  • Successfully complete the first two courses in the MScFE program, Financial Markets and Financial Data, with a minimum average score of 80%**

  • Complete the first two courses within the Maximum Time Frame (MTF) of nine (9) months

  • Submit official transcripts for your highest previously earned degree

Upon meeting the FFE certificate completion requirements listed above, students are considered fully matriculated and eligible to continue studying in the MScFE Program by registering in the third program course.

*Students who completed Financial Markets prior to October 1st, 2024 are not eligible to earn the certificate. While we'd like to issue the FFE certificate to all students both past and present, we are unable to do so due to regulatory requirements.

**Those who pass both Financial Markets and Financial Data but earn a lower average score than the required 80% must submit a ticket to the Help Center chatbot for review with the Academic Dean.
