If you are applying for our MSc in Financial Engineering (MScFE) program, completing the Quantitative Proficiency Test with a passing grade is a mandatory requirement for admission.
The Quantitative Proficiency Test assesses your mathematical and statistical proficiency as well as fundamentals in Python programming and data structures to help us determine your eligibility for admission to the Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MScFE) program.
Create a Study Plan
Assess your current skill level: Identify your strengths and areas for improvement in quantitative subjects.

Allocate time effectively: Dedicate time regularly to study mathematics, statistics, and basic programming concepts.
Utilize resources: Enroll in introductory courses or leverage online study platforms to ensure you cover core topics comprehensively.
Make sure you prepare thoroughly for the test and for the successful completion of the Program. Use this list of (free!) online resources to strengthen your mathematical, statistical, and programming skills.
To minimize technical issues use a desktop device and ensure a stable and reliable internet connection before starting the exam
Important Considerations:
It consists of 60 questions and must be completed in one sitting within two (2) hours.
The minimum passing grade for the test is 75%.
If you fail the Quantitative Proficiency Test you'll get a second chance to reattempt it after a 7-day waiting period.
Applicants who do not pass the test on their 2nd attempt are able to reapply to the Program following a waiting period of 6 months from the date of their 2nd attempt.
Important Warning: Creating multiple accounts to attempt the QPT is a violation of the University’s Academic Integrity policy. Any user identified for doing so will be immediately terminated and will not have the opportunity to be considered for enrollment in the MScFE Program.
