Access your Calendar by navigating to the top right when in the learning environment.
Select Subscribe by navigating to the bottom left
A new box will open containing a URL. Select the URL to download the calendar as an .ics file.
Open your Google Calendar application and select the + icon next to Other Calendars
Select Create New Calendar from the menu
Name your new calendar WorldQuant University and be sure to select the correct time zone.
Select the + icon next to Other Calendars again.
Select Import from the menu.
Import the .ics file from your computer and add to WorldQuant University Google calendar.
Please note that connecting the WQU calendar to Google Calendar must be repeated at the start of each course in your program. You will need to first delete the existing WQU calendar from Google before repeating these steps to add the calendar for your next course.
Additional Calendar and Time Zone Information
All settings and deadlines in the WQU program are associated with GMT/UTC. The in-platform course calendar adjusts the deadlines to your local time zone as per the time zone set in your profile.
Time Zone Errors?
Please note we recommend against using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) as this can cause the system to incorrectly set your location and time zone if using a VPN when in the learning environment.
You can check and reset you time zone by clicking on your Name in the upper right and then selecting Settings & Profile. However if you continue to use a VPN it will incorrectly set itself again.
