Labs Learning Environment Update

WQU is gradually moving its Labs to an integrated new learning environment designed to enhance your learning experience and to streamline the introduction of new features and technologies down the road.

Why is WQU moving its Labs to a new learning environment?

WQU is upgrading its learning infrastructure to better support long-term growth and improve the overall learner experience across our growing portfolio of educational programs. While this transition is focused on strengthening the technology that supports your learning, you can expect enhancements and improvements to the platform’s look and feel as well as new features down the road.

How will the migration to the new environment impact the learning experience in my Lab?

To ensure a seamless transition and an uninterrupted learning experience, the new environment has been integrated with the WQU Learning Platform. You will continue to log into learn.wqu.edu with your existing username and password. When you navigate to your current course, your Lab project will automatically open in a new tab. From there, you can navigate to your virtual machine, quizzes, and other Lab components. The WQ Labs platform with your virtual machine remains the same, so the core of your learning experience will be unchanged.

How do I access the new learning environment?

The environment has been integrated with the WQU Learning Platform. As such, you will continue to log into learn.wqu.edu with your existing username and password. When you navigate to your current project, your course will automatically open in a new tab. From there, you can navigate to your virtual machine, quizzes, and other Lab components.

Will my Lab progress be saved?

Your completed projects will remain on your academic record and any new projects you start will automatically open in the new environment. However, partial project progress will not transfer.

If you are enrolled in the Computer Vision Lab and have not started a new project since March 24, please complete any partially completed projects by April 23, 2026 to avoid losing your progress.

If you are enrolled in the Deep Learning Fundamentals Lab, you have until May 21, 2026 to finish any partially completed projects.
