Actively engaging with the course content is an important part of the learning process. That means immersing yourself in the readings, but also sharing your questions, comments, insights with the community. This is why your active participation in the forums counts toward your participation grade.

How and where to earn participation points?
You are required to post meaningful messages of 200 or more characters in any of the available course forums (Course Overview and the individual Modules).
How to earn the maximum participation grade?
Publishing 5 posts (200+ characters each) throughout the entire course session.
What is the deadline for Participation points?
The deadline to earn participation points is listed in your course syllabus. This deadline is the last day of the course (typically Day 54).
Can I edit or delete a forum post?
Only administrators can edit or delete a forum post. For this reason, you may respond to your own post if an update should be acknowledged. Otherwise, you may open a ticket through the chatbot to request the edit. In order to do so, please provide the following in your ticket:

Date of the post

URL to the post (not the forum
Name of the individual who made the initial post
Confirmation if you were the individual who started the thread or if you were responding to an existing post
Where can I find my grade in the grade book?
Navigate to the top of the learning platform, click "Grades", then select the dropdown for MSc in Financial Engineering. You will see the top row includes your Participation Grade.
When will I see my grade updated?
Your grade book updates approximately every 24 hours
How to mute the entire forum?
To mute notifications for all posts in a specific forum, navigate to the forum and click the bell icon. By muting, you will not receive any notifications for posts or comments by students in that forum. You can unmute anytime by clicking the bell icon again. *Posts made by instructors or the University can not be muted.

How to flag my question for an instructor to answer?
Tag your post as a specific question to instructors. By marking the checkbox, your instructor will be notified of your question when you create your post.
How to know if a question has been answered?
If a student or instructor replies to a student's post by answering the poster's question, you can mark that reply as a “best answer.” Doing so creates a tag on the post to indicate to everyone that the question asked in the post has been answered by the reply.
How to know if a post was found helpful?
Instructors have the ability to tag posts and comments as being Helpful. For example, an article a student shares from an outside source that is helpful to the module. Keep an eye out for posts that have been marked as helpful.
How to filter posts?
You can filter on both the Author Type and the Post Type to more easily find what you’re looking for.
